Hey BB readers,
It's nice to see you again! As we're coming into the spring months I thought I would write a post on statement tops for you and how they are the most amazing tool you should have in your closet.
I know you have heard of statement necklaces, or bags, but what about tops? When you have a top that speaks for itself you don't have to rely on finding the perfect bottoms to pair it with or some killer shoes (I mean you can do that anyway). Statement tops are especially great for those days when you don't have a ton of time to get ready. If you have a shirt that has ruffled sleeves or a rufffled bodice you can pair it with some sleek denim and a simple pair of earrings and a top-knot. You could even wear something off the shoulder, maybe a denim material with some white jeans and beach waved hair. Basically you want something that is going to draw everyones attention to your top. Here are some ideas of tops you could wear as a statement piece.
#1 Choker Tops
Having a top with a built in type choker is great for layering dainty jewelry with! Its very flattering on every body type, and can be worn with shorts or denim.
#2 Off Shoulder Tops
Any top that shows a little shoulder is a statement top in my opinion. Off the shoulder tops are meant to be a little bit sexy. Pair one with some white denim and you will turn all heads!
#3 Tight tee's
Girl show off you curves and be confident in a tight graphic tee. Graphic tee's are great because you can wear them with pretty much anything and it will look good! Dress it up with some botties or keep it casual with some converse.
#4 Cold Shoulder Tops
Whats better for warm weather than a cold shoulder top? Cold shoulder tops are great because they can be worn with everything as well. They have so many things they bring to the table whether it be in different length sleeves or ruffled sleeves, lace, or other detailing. Wear with some wedges and denim.
