Easter Through The Era's

3/05/2018

Hey BB Babes!

Can you believe how fast this year is going by? In only 4 weeks it's going to be Easter!! That doesn't give you very much time to find the perfect Easter dress. For this weeks blog I thought it would be kind of fun to do a timeline of what women used to wear for Easter Sunday, plus this week on BBStyled we are doing a #freebie where you can get a free dress so it kind of works out perfectly! Alright lets take a look back in time and see what it was like then compared to now.

1960's
Women used to dress up in tailored skirts with matching blazers, floral hats or big hair if they chose not to wear one. Everyone would dress up in their "Easter Best" and go to church. Many women would also wear a boutonnière. I remove when I was little my mom and aunts would always get my grandma one to wear for easter. Gloves were also very popular during this era.

1970's
In the 70's the clothes started to get funkier. Women would wear dresses that did not have sleeves, Or had puffy sleeves, embellished at the waist and to the knee. Colors became for vibrant instead of pastel as well.

1990's
In the 90's it was all about lace, and some sort of 3D flower sticking out of you waist. When I was a little girl my mom used to dress me and my sister in dresses like this!

It's amazing to go back and see how things have change but also have come back in different ways. I think people don't take getting dressed up for Easter as seriously as they did back then, which is kind of sad to me. I personally love having an excuse to get dressed upper buy a new dress. Easter is like the welcoming party for Spring and all the new things like dresses so I think thats how Easter Dresses became such a popular thing! If you are looking for a good easter dress or just want one since spring is right around the corner definitely look at our website! We have a ton of new arrivals that are perfect! Like our
